How Much Does CrossFit Cost in Kennesaw, GA—and What Does Your Membership Include?
One of the first questions people ask when considering CrossFit is:
“How much does it cost?”
That’s a fair question. Everyone has a budget, and no one should join a gym without understanding what they’re paying for.
But comparing gym memberships based only on monthly price can be misleading because every gym isn’t selling the same service.
A traditional gym primarily sells access to equipment.
CrossFit Bound provides professional coaching, planned programming, accountability, multiple training options and a community that knows whether you’re making progress—or whether you’ve stopped showing up.
My name is Brandon Phillips. I’m a husband, father of two, firefighter, former athlete, Kennesaw State University exercise science graduate and the owner of CrossFit Bound.
I’ve owned CrossFit Bound in Kennesaw since 2013. After 13 years in the fitness industry, I’ve learned that the cheapest gym isn’t always the least expensive option.
If you pay for a membership you rarely use—or spend months doing workouts that aren’t moving you toward your goals—you may save money each month while wasting time.
The real question is:
What are you receiving for your investment, and does it give you a realistic chance of succeeding?
What Does CrossFit Typically Cost in Kennesaw?
CrossFit gyms are independently owned, so there is no universal price.
Around Kennesaw and the greater Atlanta area, coached group-training memberships commonly fall somewhere in the mid-to-high $100s per month, depending on:
How many classes you can attend
Whether the membership includes unlimited training
Whether personal training is included
Open-gym or 24/7 access
Nutrition coaching
Recovery services
The size of the classes
The experience of the coaching staff
The quality of the facility and equipment
For local context, one Kennesaw CrossFit gym currently advertises unlimited group classes at $180 per month. Other greater-Atlanta CrossFit facilities publish rates ranging from approximately $175 to more than $225 per month, depending on attendance limits and included services.
At CrossFit Bound, we offer several membership levels because the right option depends on your experience, schedule and goals.
Our current rates are available through our pricing page or by speaking with a coach. Pricing and introductory specials may change, but the important part is understanding what each membership is designed to provide.
Launch: Five Personal-Training Sessions to Start Correctly
Beginning CrossFit can feel intimidating.
Many people worry that they won’t know the movements, won’t be able to keep up or will walk into a class without understanding what is happening.
That’s why we created our Launch Program - $399
Launch includes five personal-training sessions before you begin regular group classes.
During these sessions, a coach can:
Learn about your goals and exercise history
Discuss previous injuries or physical limitations
Assess how you currently move
Teach foundational strength-training movements
Introduce common CrossFit exercises
Explain how workouts are structured
Show you how and why movements are scaled
Establish appropriate starting weights
Help you enter group classes with confidence
This isn’t simply an initiation fee.
It is individualized coaching designed to help you start safely and successfully.
A commercial gym might let you join immediately, scan your membership card and begin working out alone. That may cost less initially, but it assumes you already know what to do.
Launch gives you access to a coach before you are expected to navigate the class environment.
Five one-on-one personal-training sessions purchased independently at many gyms could cost several hundred dollars. Including those sessions in a structured starting program creates a much more complete introduction than simply handing someone a key tag.
Foundation: Three Coached Classes Per Week
Our Foundation membership includes up to three coached classes each week - $165
For many adults, three days per week is enough to make meaningful progress while balancing work, family responsibilities and recovery.
Foundation is a strong fit for people who:
Are new to consistent exercise
Want a realistic weekly schedule
Need coaching and accountability
Are returning after time away from training
Participate in other sports or activities
Want to improve strength and cardiovascular fitness
Need recovery days between sessions
Three classes per week equals approximately 12 or 13 coached workouts in a typical month.
Instead of walking into a gym and trying to create your own routine, you receive a complete training session that includes a warm-up, movement instruction, strength or skill development, conditioning and appropriate scaling.
Most importantly, there is a coach in the room helping you understand what to do.
Progress: Unlimited Coached Classes
Our Progress membership includes unlimited group classes - $199
This option works well for members who want to train four or more days per week or need the flexibility to attend different class times as their schedules change.
Progress includes access to our coached training programs, including:
Strength development
Cardiovascular conditioning
Functional movement
Gymnastics progressions
Olympic weightlifting instruction
Mobility and recovery guidance
Workout scaling
Performance tracking
Accountability from coaches and other members
Our programming is not a collection of random hard workouts.
Training is planned in cycles so that movements, intensity and volume work together over time. We train different qualities—including strength, endurance, power, skill and mobility—while considering how one day affects the next.
Members don’t need to build their own program or wonder which muscle group they should train that day.
We handle the planning. You show up ready to work.
Excel: Our Most Complete Membership
Our Excel membership is designed for people who want the most complete level of support and access - $300
Excel includes:
Unlimited coached classes
24/7 gym access
Nutrition coaching
Additional flexibility to train outside regular class times
Access to the CrossFit Bound training environment and equipment
Greater support for performance, body-composition and lifestyle goals
This membership closes the gap between what happens inside the gym and what happens during the rest of your week.
Exercise matters, but your nutrition, sleep, recovery and daily habits also affect your results.
A person can train hard for four hours each week and still struggle if the other 164 hours consistently work against the goal.
Nutrition coaching provides another layer of direction and accountability. Rather than following a restrictive meal plan or jumping between diets, members can work on realistic habits that support fat loss, strength, energy, performance and recovery.
The 24/7 access also gives members more flexibility when work or family commitments make it difficult to attend a scheduled class.
What Is Included in a CrossFit Bound Class Membership?
Regardless of membership level, the value extends beyond using our equipment.
Professional Coaching
Every class is led by a coach who explains the workout, demonstrates movements, helps select appropriate modifications and watches technique.
The coach’s job isn’t simply to start the clock.
The coach helps each member receive the intended benefit of the workout based on individual ability.
Structured Programming
You don’t have to search online for a workout or build your own program.
Our training is planned around long-term development rather than random daily exhaustion.
Workout Scaling
Not every member lifts the same weight, runs the same distance or performs the same gymnastics movement.
Our coaches adjust loads, repetitions and exercises while preserving the purpose of the workout.
Scaling allows beginners and experienced athletes to train alongside one another without expecting them to have the same abilities.
Accountability
Your coaches and classmates know your name.
People notice when you’re improving, when you need help and when you’ve been missing.
That accountability is one of the biggest differences between belonging to a coached gym and simply having access to a building.
Multiple Training Options
CrossFit Bound offers more than one style of training.
Members may have access to programs such as:
Bound Performance: Our complete CrossFit strength-and-conditioning program
Bound Build: Structured strength training with less technical complexity
Bound Endurance: Aerobic and interval training for general endurance and HYROX-style goals
Open Gym: Time to complete individual training or make up programmed work
Personal Training: Individualized coaching based on specific goals
Available programs and access depend on the selected membership.
Recovery Room
Our Recovery Room gives members access to tools such as the sauna and compression equipment.
Recovery doesn’t replace good sleep, nutrition or sensible training, but it can help members create a regular recovery routine.
This is especially valuable for adults balancing training with physically demanding jobs, stressful schedules, recreational sports or previous injuries.
Equipment and Facility Access
Membership provides access to the equipment required for complete strength-and-conditioning training, including barbells, bumper plates, dumbbells, kettlebells, pull-up rigs, rowers, bikes, SkiErgs and other functional-training equipment.
You don’t have to purchase, store or maintain all of this equipment at home.
How Does CrossFit Compare With a Traditional Gym?
A traditional gym can be an excellent value for someone who already:
Knows how to design an effective program
Understands exercise technique
Trains consistently without accountability
Is comfortable working out alone
Knows how to progress or modify exercises
Depending on the facility and membership level, a traditional gym may cost approximately $10 to $50 per month.
That is clearly less expensive than a coached CrossFit membership.
But the traditional membership usually pays primarily for access. Personal training, nutrition coaching and individualized programming generally cost extra.
Here is the practical difference:
The traditional gym is cheaper because it is a different product.
The better value depends on what you actually need.
How Does CrossFit Compare With Orangetheory?
Orangetheory offers coach-led classes centered on heart-rate-based interval training. Workouts generally use treadmills, rowing machines and strength stations.
Its published membership structure includes:
Basic: four classes per month
Elite: eight classes per month
Premier: unlimited classes
Prices vary by studio. Published 2026 rates reviewed nationally have ranged from approximately $109 to $169 per month, although local rates, promotions and equipment costs may differ.
Orangetheory can be a good fit for someone who enjoys:
Treadmill and rowing intervals
Heart-rate data
A repeatable class format
Cardio-focused group training
Access to studios in different locations
CrossFit Bound places more emphasis on developing a broader range of physical abilities.
Our training can include:
Barbell strength work
Olympic lifting
Gymnastics
Running and rowing
Kettlebells and dumbbells
Bodyweight movements
Power development
Longer aerobic sessions
Short, high-intensity workouts
Loaded carries and functional movements
Neither model has to be described as universally better.
The important question is which approach matches your goals and which environment will keep you consistent.
How Does CrossFit Compare With Burn Boot Camp?
Burn Boot Camp provides 45-minute trainer-led group workouts, nutrition support, community and childwatch at participating locations.
That combination can be attractive for parents who need childcare during training.
Burn’s in-person pricing varies by location and is generally provided by the individual gym rather than published as one national rate.
Burn Boot Camp may appeal to someone who wants:
Coach-led boot-camp workouts
A fast-paced class
Community support
Nutrition guidance
Childwatch at participating locations
CrossFit Bound differs through its emphasis on measurable strength development, barbell training, gymnastics progression, workout scaling and multiple training tracks.
We also offer individual personal training, 24/7 access through qualifying memberships and a dedicated Recovery Room.
Again, the goal isn’t to say that one type of training is right for every person.
The goal is to understand what your membership includes and whether those services match what you need.
What Does a Coached Workout Actually Cost?
Monthly price doesn’t always tell the whole story.
Consider a member paying $180 per month and attending four coached classes per week.
That equals approximately 16 professionally coached workouts per month—or about $11.25 per coached session.
At three workouts per week, the same membership would equal approximately $15 per session.
A single one-on-one personal-training appointment in the Kennesaw area can cost $55 to $95 or more.
CrossFit is group coaching rather than private training, but looking at the cost per coached hour provides a more useful comparison than placing it beside an access-only gym membership.
Of course, value still depends on attendance.
A membership only works if you use it.
That is exactly why coaching, scheduled classes and accountability matter.
Is CrossFit Worth the Cost?
CrossFit may be worth the investment if you:
Need help knowing what to do
Want coaching without paying for private training every session
Struggle to exercise consistently on your own
Want to build both strength and endurance
Prefer training with other people
Need workouts adjusted around your current ability
Want measurable progress
Value accountability and community
Want access to several training styles in one location
It may not be the right investment if you only want inexpensive access to basic equipment and are already confident managing your own training.
I would rather be honest about that distinction than pretend one gym model is perfect for everyone.
Choose Based on Value—not Price Alone
There is nothing wrong with choosing an inexpensive gym.
But make sure you understand what you’re buying.
A $20 membership that you rarely use isn’t a better value than a more complete program that helps you train three or four times every week.
Likewise, paying for a premium membership doesn’t guarantee results. You still have to show up, work consistently and apply what your coaches teach you.
At CrossFit Bound, our job is to remove as much confusion as possible.
We provide the plan, coaching, scaling, accountability and training environment.
Your job is to walk through the door and keep showing up.
